Signing of the IBM Quantum System Two Delivery Agreement – Bucharest

The signing took place at the InterContinental Athénée Palace, during a specialist conference on quantum computing, AI and post-quantum cryptography. With the IBM Quantum System Two, Romania joins the small group of countries hosting operational quantum infrastructure of this class, and FreeYa Mind Campus gains the on-premise capacity required for its research and education programs.

Partnership with University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest

During the same event, FreeYa Mind Campus signed a collaboration protocol with University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest (UPB). UPB joins the Center’s existing academic and institutional partners from Iași, Cluj and Timișoara, extending the partner network to national level.

The protocol provides UPB students and researchers with access to operational quantum systems for education and joint research activities.

Outlook: Training Quantum Professionals in Romania

With quantum infrastructure available in the country, students and researchers can be trained on operational systems in Romania.

FreeYa Mind Campus will use this capacity to extend its education, research and innovation programs for students and early-career researchers across Romania.

Acknowledgements

FreeYa Mind Campus thanks IBM for its trust, its professionalism and its strategic decision to invest in Romania, as well as the IBM team directly involved in this milestone. Thanks are also extended to the Center’s university partners and to the public and private institutions that have supported the project since its inception.

Development of the FreeYa Mind community continues step by step.
